Oceanic Findings de REmovement

The REmovement crew has been sailing the ocean for the past several months, searching for new signs of life in this dismal oceanic abyss, and have come back to report their findings:

1) Articulate is up for "Best Hip Hop Artist" in the Omaha Entertainment Awards. The award show will take place January 4th at the Holland Performing Arts Center downtown. More info is available at http://oeawards.net/

2) Bobby Danjerfield truly is finished with his album, and has chosen to rename it "Simian Survival."

3) CMB's mixtape will be pressed soon

4) Articulate is conceiving a new project that will incorporate live instruments, including (probably) a string quartet.

We're Still Alive and Rhymin'

Its been a while since we last updated the site, but trust us that we have not been sleeping or slacking on our musical grind in the past couple months. DJ CMB has played a couple shows opening for the famous San Francisco DJ, Ted Shred, and had the pleasure of cutting with DJ Abilities of Rhymesayer fame at Sokol Underground recently. Articulate is scheduled to play a live set with the Jazzwholes on July 30th at Shag on 114th and Dodge - this show is promised to be the freshest hip hop event this city has seen in a while, so don't miss it!!! As the finishing touches are put on Bobby Danjerfield's dark concept album, expect to see his name on upcoming shows around town, and to hear some new tracks being dropped soon. Articulate's music video for 'The Voyage' continues to play regularly on KXVO and Video Diversity, and he appear for a live interview on Thursday, July 13th, sometime around 10:15 or 10:30. We promise to have the new web design installed sometime, but things are taking a bit longer than expected. Until then, be on the lookout for a hot collaboration between Articulate, Stylo, and Sir Skrappy to be dropping soon called "Heritage" - it will be ready for the radio sometime in the next few weeks. The Latest REmovement Records News

All is going well now with the REmovement crew, and we have several projects in the works. Bobby Danj's album is nearly complete, and we will have a tentative release date soon. CMB is still perfecting his mix tape, it will be available at shows in the next month or two. Also, Articulate is in talks with some local bands about possibly remixing songs from "Against the Current." We will keep you updated on this as things progress.

Finals week is coming up in college town so people are busy, but we expect to have an entirely new web design shortly thereafter, complete with an online store and a more accessible layout. We will also add a fresh list of tracks to download, including several collaborations never before heard by the public. Look for this soon...

CD Release Party Was a Huge Success!!!

- Thanks to everyone who came out to the big show, your support is truly appreciated!!!

- For all of you who couldn't be there, you missed out on a night full of hip hop and culture, with a grand bagpipe procession intro for St. Patrick's set, Hot 107.7's Houston Alexander promoting condom use, hot performances by Buck Bowen, Ramm, and Surreal the MC, a classic battle between Kloun Dyrtbol and Tang, a girl humping George Bush onstage while Bobby Danjerfield spit his propaganda, DJ CMB lighting up the turntables, B-boys and B-girls killin it on the floor, and Articulate rapping to a beat that is so powerful that it just might change hip hop forever (if you like Laffy Taffy.) To top off the night, there was a free keg at Articulates house, compliments of REmovement Records.

- Articulate's album, "Against the Current," is being mixed and mastered as we speak, and it contains some of the illest vibrations to ever hit your eardrums!!

- Bobby Danjerfield's television commercial is being aired on BET and MTV2 right now!! Check it out at TruuthOmaha.com.

- CMB is working on a mixtape right now, lacing it with insanely freaky scratch tactics!!

- Articulate's brother, a film director in LA, is editing a music video for "The Voyage" shot on location in the Naughty North!!!

- Bobby Danjerfield is hard at work on his album, "Planet of the Apes," and a couple of sample tracks have been posted on his MySpace page!!

- Tune in to 89.7 the River on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 8:00 PM to hear an exclusive sneak peak of tracks from "Against the Current," and an interview with Articulate. Then come see the show...
